A question generally raised, whether astrologer can raise a query personally for himself. My answer to the question is `Yes’, if he maintains some standards of impartiality as he does in case of others. To prove this point, I present a case study.
My wife developed pain in her abdomen on 9th January 2006. In spite of medical treatment by different doctors, relief did not place. On 10th night, we took her to St. Stephen’s Hospital and on 11-01-2006, in the morning; she was operate upon suspected Appendix burst. After operation, doctors declared that appendix was suspect and there was puss in her ovary, which was cleared, though doctors declared it a successful operation, she was not returning to normality. On 14th January, she was shifted from ward to post operation room and when condition further deteriorated, she was taken to ICU on 15th. Immediately, she was CAT scanned, lumber punctured, placed up on the support of ventilator till 19th January. Everyday, once in the morning, doctors told that she is critical, she is sinking, chances of survival are poor. On 19th January, in the morning I saw her in ICU, lying unconscious, under ventilator and different tubes, even her facial complexion was blackish due to illness. I could hardly see any sign of life in her except breathing under oxygen ventilator. She was on dialysis 3 times. So at the sight I broke in the ICU itself.
The same noon, my faculty, colleagues Sh. M.N. Kedar and Sh. K. Rangachari came to me to know her wellbeing. Kedarji brought with him his palm top. He examined my and my son’s chart and told that time is difficult. Suddenly, Sh. Rangachari asked to furnish the day’s transit. Kedarji gave the ascendant rising at the time also. Now, it was a Prashna chart. Sh. Chari had a look at the chart and told there is no threat to life of the patient and placed the Prashna chart before me. The chart was as shown.
Chart gave encouraging picture lagna and moon both in fixed sign indicated present situation not changing. It also indicated diagnosis made by doctors is correct, 3rd lord full moon, posited in 4th house in the last degrees of the sign having friendly ithasal with 4th lord sun (medicine). Moon in pap katari indicate very poor health and condition of the patient. Moon going in Poorna ithasai with mercury, its sign dispositor Lagnesh Venus is having ithasal with 8th and 11th lord Jupiter blessing longevity to the patient. Exchange between 6th & 8th lords gives faster recovery, 7th lord Mars in 12th, own house, in purna ithasal with Jupiter.
It was predicted that recovery will take some time but there is no risk to the life not as doctors felt, the same evening, at 4.30 p.m., when we had a look at her from the window, she was moving her neck. It meant she gained consciousness. On 1st February, she was shifted from ICU to post operative room and on 6th to ward and on 14th February, she was discharged from the hospital.
